Project Brief

For this large project I was part of a larger team which was project managed by Wild Group International. The task was to wrap the whole interior of this Luxury Sunseeker 86 Motor Yacht, using a mirror-finish 'ultra gloss' black vinyl. On the bridge section we wrapped the entire cockpit area and also the windscreen pillar columns, as well as all the wooden furniture and cupboards. The Captain's cabin was also entirely wrapped, including the bathroom.

This was a brand new build, so we worked whilst the boat was still under construction at Sunseeker Poole, Dorset. This added to the difficulty level but this was a great challenge from which I gained a great deal of knowledge and the final results were amazing!

Main Deck

Here we completed the majority of the mirror-finish vinyl wrapping, as this floor had the largest rooms. The main lounge and dining room had all the wood covered, from the book cases to the ceiling cross member beams by the side windows. We even wrapped the large dining table.

Kitchen

The kitchen also had to match the rest of the boat, so we also wrapped the cooker vent hood, cupboards and the door frames.

Conclusion

This is a very large luxury Sunseeker with an ultra black gloss finish and it looked amazing when it was completed. Overall it was a really fun but very challenging project and it was my first time applying this ultra gloss vinyl, so I learned a few new tricks. The new owner was very impressed and gave us some great feedback.
